Sēn is a small atelier on the Walsh Bay piers. Three olfactive families, fourteen current scents, and a private one-hour consultation across all of them. No spritz-and-flee; no sales-floor lighting; no questions about your skin type unless you ask.
Book a consultation →The first room. Cedar, sandalwood, papyrus, vetiver, smoked tea, and the air of a library shelf in the late afternoon. Six current scents.
The second room. Stem-led florals — narcissus, tuberose, hyacinth, lily — paired with green leaves and fig sap. Never powdery, never pink. Four current scents.
The third room. Oakmoss, labdanum, patchouli, leather, salt. The room a perfumer most wants to retire to. Four current scents.
Trained at ISIPCA Versailles (Diplôme Européen d'Études Supérieures en Parfumerie, 2012). Eight years on the bench in Grasse and Paris before returning to Australia in 2021 to open Sēn.
Linh blends every scent at the back-room organ. Each scent is hand-decanted, hand-labelled, and held back to a maximum of forty-eight bottles per season. The 14th scent — Encens — is currently in development.
Consultations are by appointment, Tuesday through Saturday. Tea, no champagne. Most clients book the long consultation; a few prefer to walk the index themselves and ask for blotters as they go.
A guided journey through all three olfactive rooms. Six to eight blotters in your hands at any one time. We narrow to two finalists, sample-decant both, and you take them home.
For clients who know the family they want. We work within Boisé, Floral, or Chypre and narrow to one bottle. Most short visits result in a full bottle the same day.
The atelier is open for walk-ins between 12:00 and 14:00, Wednesday through Saturday. Outside that window, all appointments are by booking.
