Trương Văn Minh
Trained as a thợ may (tailor) in Hanoi before emigrating in 1968. Opened the original Park Road shop in 1972 — six metres of bench, two sewing machines, one window. Cut suits for the Cabramatta marriages of an entire generation.
The Trương family have been cutting on Park Road since 1972. Bespoke two-piece and three-piece suiting, áo dài for every wedding in Cabramatta for the past two generations, and the kind of alterations no one else will take on.

Apprenticed under his father from age twelve. Took over the bench in 1998, added the áo dài specialism, and brought English-language alteration work into the shop. Continues to consult on cutting two mornings a week.
Mai-Hương trained in fashion at TAFE Ultimo and joined the shop in 2018. Took the lead on cutting in 2022. Brings a younger sense of line and silhouette to the bench while honouring the classical patterns.
The shop has been at the same shopfront on Park Road since 1976. The original Singer industrial — still on the bench — was bought by Văn Minh in Hanoi in 1968 and shipped over with the family.
Mai-Hương cuts every garment now. Her father-in-law still attends the bench on Tuesday and Friday mornings to consult on hand-stitching for áo dài. He is eighty-three.
First fittings are by appointment. New customers welcome to call any morning during opening hours. We speak Vietnamese, English, and a little Cantonese.
