After dark · Established 2021

Late-night skin work,
by appointment after seven.

A six-treatment room above the pier. We open the door at 19:30 and close it at midnight. The diary is held by the practitioner, not a software product.

The room is small. The list is shorter. The hours are unkind. We have done this since the studio over the pier in 2021. Six treatments. One practitioner. After dark only.

The Practitioner

Lena Costanzo

Master practitioner, sole proprietor, third-generation skin work

Eleven years in two Sydney rooms before opening Halcyon in 2021. Trained under Maria Pelosi at the Bondi atelier from 2013, then four years at a private members' practice in Surry Hills before going solo.

Lena holds every appointment personally. No assistants, no apprentices, no rotating staff. The room is exactly what it was on opening night — and what it will be when she closes the door for the night, every night.

The Room

Six chairs.

The Ritual · From the door to the door

What happens after seven o'clock.

Doorway
01 · 19:30

The door

You arrive to a dim entry. Phone surrendered to a velvet tray. A practitioner-poured neat whisky or a single-origin tea, your choice. No music.

Consultation
02 · 19:45

The reading

Lena reads your skin under three calibrated lights — warm, cool, neutral. Notes are taken by hand. The treatment is adjusted, never templated.

Treatment
03 · 20:00

The treatment

The chair reclines. The lights dim. Forty-five to ninety minutes, depending on what you booked. The pace is the work — not the device.

Aftermath
04 · 22:00

The exit

Your phone is returned silenced. A printed aftercare slip, one for the fridge. The door opens to the pier. You walk back the way you came — different.
