A structured cognitive behavioural protocol for chronic insomnia. Sleep diaries, controlled wake-times, stimulus-control work. Most patients see a clear improvement within four weeks.

A standalone deep review of sleep architecture, snoring, daytime sleepiness and screening for OSA. Referral on to a sleep physician when required, always under joint care.

A standing 9pm or 9:30pm appointment, weekly or fortnightly, reserved at the start of each year. Limited to twelve patients per practice year. Renewed by review.

Sydney (BSc Psychology, 2006) and Royal Holloway (DClinPsy, 2012). Ten years at the Woolcock Institute of Medical Research and at the Black Dog clinical psychology service before opening Halcyon as a private after-hours room in 2024.

Sessions run forty-five or ninety minutes. Most patients are seen between 5pm and 9pm. There is no waiting-room television, no piped music, no chair that reclines.
